The Governing Bodies of North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent are hugely grateful for all the feedback received to their consultation on the Future of Local health Services in Northern Staffordshire. They are now inviting the public to listen to the findings being considered when they meet at an Extraordinary meeting dedicated to this single agenda item on Tuesday 25th June 2019, from 09.30am – 12pm at The Best Western Hotel, Etruria Hall, Festival Way, Stoke-on-Trent, ST1 5BQ.
The meeting is being held for Board members to receive and consider the feedback received, which has been independently analysed. Following consideration of the feedback, the Governing Bodies will determine which options are put forward for the next stage of the decision-making process with NHS England.
This meeting is the next step for the CCGs in the work they have been doing with clinicians, health partners, local authorities, voluntary organisations and the public, to look at how local health and care services could be delivered differently to meet local needs against the backdrop of significant challenges faced by the local health economy.
The CCGs developed a Pre-Consultation Business Case (PCBC) that set out a viable and sustainable model of care for the future of local health services and options for change which they consulted the public about. This is an important step toward delivering the right services in the right place which place patients at the centre of service delivery.
Whilst people are welcome to attend, this is a meeting in public, not a public meeting. However, as for all Governing Body meetings, the public will be able to ask questions at the end of the meeting.
Anyone wishing to attend can book a place via Eventbrite by Friday 21 June 2019. Spaces will be on a first come first served basis, so people are encouraged to book in as spaces are limited.
