User and Carer Experience Surveys for Community-based Services

North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent CCGs wanted to gather the views of local people who had experience of some community-based services. The services were the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Service (i.e. for joint/muscle problems) and the Podiatry Service.

Surveys took place for each of the services during October-November 2016 targeting service users and their families/carers. The aim of the surveys was to understand people’s expectations and what was important when accessing these community-based services. Children’s Urgent Care Services

During 2017, Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire CCGs worked with the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) to redesign the pathway for children and young people who require urgent assessment or treatment by a hospital doctor (this did not include patients attending the Children’s Emergency Department).

The CCGs and UHNM wanted to gather the views and experiences of parents and carers who had used the urgent care services for their child at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. The hospital selected a random sample of patients who had accessed the service to receive the survey.  The aim of the survey was to gain people’s views, feedback and experiences including what worked well, what could be better, and any difficulties encountered when using the service. The survey took place between 6th March and 9th April 2017.

User Experience Survey – Community Nursing, Falls, Stroke and Long Term Conditions Services

North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent CCGs wanted to gather the views of local people who had experience of using certain services. The services being considered were Community Nursing, Falls, Stroke and Long Term Conditions Services.
